Yorkshire & Humber

Yorkshire's mix of Victorian terraces, stone-built homes and post-war estates means energy efficiency varies widely. Many homes in Leeds, Sheffield and Bradford qualify for ECO4 and Warm Homes Local Grant funding.

North East

The North East consistently records the highest fuel poverty rates in England. Newcastle, Sunderland and surrounding areas have strong council support for energy grant applications.

West Midlands

The West Midlands has over 1 million homes rated EPC D or below. Birmingham, Coventry, Wolverhampton and Stoke-on-Trent all have active LA Flex schemes with accessible income thresholds.

East Midlands & East

Cities like Nottingham, Leicester and Derby have large stocks of older housing with poor insulation. Local councils across the region actively participate in ECO4 flexible eligibility.

South West

The South West has many off-gas-grid properties, making it a priority area for heat pump grants under the Boiler Upgrade Scheme. Bristol and Plymouth lead the region in retrofit programmes.

South East

The South East combines urban centres with rural properties. Southampton, Portsmouth and Reading all have active grant programmes, with many homes qualifying for multiple schemes.

Scotland

Scotland runs its own energy efficiency programmes alongside UK-wide schemes. The Scottish Government's Warmer Homes Scotland scheme provides additional funding beyond ECO4.

Wales

The Welsh Government's Nest scheme provides free home energy improvements to eligible households, complementing UK-wide grants like ECO4 and the Boiler Upgrade Scheme.
